 Nature's Pet Place held its inaugural Pet Halloween Contest during a Fall Open House recently with 14 contestants. There were three categories: funniest, cutest and most original. In the funniest category, the first place winner was Nestle, a chocolate Lab owned by Angela Jones, and Raven, a Miniature Pinscher owned by Jessica Saltzgiver, was second. The first place winner in the cutest was Lily, an English Bulldog owned by Bevely Harrison and Mercy, a Lab mixed owned Angela Jones was second. First in the most original category was Handsome, a Greyhound owned by Linda Sellman and Olivia, a Yorkshire Terrier owned by Audery Pennington was second. From left are Stephanie Raubenstine, owner of Nature's Pet Place, with the grand prize winner Handsome, the greyhound, with his owner/trainer Shawna Martin and Linda Sellman. Grand prize was a year's worth of free pet food, During the fall open house pet photos were taken by Dee Garber of Dee Garber Studio, which raised $100 for the Nittany Greyhound Rescue Organization. |
